And finally Kew Gardens

This is the new Giant Lily pond in the Princess of Wales Conservatory
( and this is a conservatory the way the Crystal Palace was a small greenhouse.)

And finally a purpose built ruin. The planting around it was a bit of the eco friendly wild Kew. Very pretty but deifintely weeds not flowers.

Thanks for sharing! So nice to see Kew with the flowers and the leaves all green. It was bare when we were there.

And the Queen's garden! I wouldn't like to get a mower up that hill.

Do you have Photoshop? You can re-size photos in that for posting to Photobucket. They loaded pretty quickly though, so it wasn't a problem.

At home I have a system that will do that, photoarc I think it's called. But here at my friends house I'm lucky to have a scanner and an internet connection. They had the internet installed last year when their daughter hit GCSE level and the scanner came with the new printer they had to buy because their old one broke My friends are Luddites.

I think you have Arcsoft PhotoImpression, same as me (came with the camera).

Nice photos. I've been to those places, but didn't see much of Windsor as it was a fill in on a trip to (my mind's gone blank) the place where Queen Victoria is buried.

Did you know, when Albert died Victoria had matching effigies made for their tomb, but she lived on so long they couldn't remember where hers was stored? They found it in the end but had trouble fitting her body in the tomb 'cos she had gained weight after it was built.

That's the one, I'm on antihistamines because of the cat Pippin, and my brain dies after the first 3. You were on your way the the mausalium at Frogmore. Typical British efficiency with the effigy, lose things and find them at the last minute.

That's the place. And can you remember where you put things 40 years ago? I can't. And that's how long it was in store.

Some things yes, if they were important to me. My collection of DC comics were in boxes behind the bed for example. But then I had only a three bedroomed house to contend with , not half a dozen palaces of heavens knows how many rooms. So I shouldn't criticize
