It was a dark and stormy night

Thunder has been rumbling round the horizon here since about 6.30pm, and since this a fairly narrow part of the valley the horizon isn't that far off. It is now beginning to rumble just overhead. The TV is already switched off and unplugged ( I've done that in thundersstorms ever since it blew up a few years back.) and I am contemplating doing the same for the computer, that last flash was just at the end of the garden I swear. It has started raining so I won't have to water the seedlings tonight, I'll just have to worry about them being washed away.. Ah well you can't have everything. I'm off to bed now to watch the lightening along the mountain ridges.
