For a weekend off from work I've had a busy time.
Saturday morning was a trip to Blackwood for bread and the lottery followed by a walk round Pen-y-fan pond with Beth and Losyn. Spring has sprung even at 1500ft above sea level. The trees are fully leafed and there are dog violets growing in the hedge rows, On the pond was a mother mallard with between 5 and 7 babies following her. They were buzzing around to quickly to do an accurate count.
Saturday afternoon we took a trip above the mountain pale in search of a car boot sale. we found it eventually about three miles beyond the back of beyond. It was very small, only about 6 stands but it was its first time so it might grow.
Sunday morning was spent at Asda doing my weekly shop. Cousin Beth gave me a tray full of seedlings to plant at lunchtime, Icelandic poppies, cornflowers, and french marigolds. So I've just spent and hour digging over the garden and planting them along with a Lilly of some sort( it wasn't labeled) and an Erigion Sea Breeze which I bought last weekend.

Beth brought down a letter for me to take in to work to photocopy just as I had finished with Losyn in tow. We managed to introduced him to Finley, my next door neighbours dog, they spend and hour each day swearing at each other from their respective gardens and we were afraid they would fight but once they were face to face they ended up playing. Dogs are strange.
