W is for....

Snowgrouse gave me the letter W
So in no particular order and after much cogitation.
1. W is for washing day. No I don’t enjoy washing but I don’t not enjoy it either but it always falls on a weekend so no work.
2. W is for welcome. This is something I get with a vengeance every time I meet Losyn, love wrapped up in fur.
3. W is for wishing. A game I play with myself listing all the things I wished for as a child and finding I got most of them and those I didn’t I now realise I would not have liked.
4. W is for Welsh cakes. Bakestones we call them in my family, homemade and hot from the bakestone, cold and slathered with butter, warmish, split and jam spread in them. I’ll take them any way I can.
5. W is for walking. Taking Losyn for a walk is always fun, just watching his reactions to the world he walks through. Seeing the seasons change from week to week and finding the sweet violets throwing their scent on the air up the Sirhowy. Watching the Bluebells open up the Gwyddon, and watching the birds attack the ivy berries black against the snow on Cwmcarn Scenic drive.
6. W is for watching. Sitting in my armchair looking out at the feeding centre I’ve developed for the birds on the wild rose just the other side of my window.
7. W is for Who. The new series of Doctor Who. As an avid fan from ‘The unearthly child’ I’m like what the two new series are doing.
8. W is for World Wide Web. OK I stand here and admit it I’m and addict. But it has brought me years of fun and many friends I would not have had if it didn’t exist. My blessings fall in abundance on its inventors.
9. W is for weight loss. It’s not happening but I would like it to and may be when I move to my new job it will. There’s not a shop with in walking distance so I can’t nip out for a bar of chocolate.
10. W is for well-being. A feeling that is very hard to define but which I like feeling very much. Health happiness and relative wealth all go towards it but the rest is unique to each individual

There was a series in 1969 called "Counterstrike" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0063886/ the last one made in black and white and so never repeated. I remember watching it as a student and thought it was very very good. And no one else has heard of it.
