I live in hope

The new modem had arrived when I got home yesterday but since I had only 30 mins to shower change eat and head off out to a lecture on Lepcis Magna I didn't even open the box. I live in hope that to night I will be back on line.

I did manage to get the tail end of the news of the Beeb just before I rushed out and they broadcast a tsunami warning for the Pacific boardering on Australia. Since the 10.00pm news didn't mention anything about doom death and disaster I feel I am safe in assuming the Earthquake was the wrong kind and my antipodean friends are OK.

The dustbunnies told me that the entire southern hemisphere was destroyed. The Earth now only half the size it used to be, but They are covering it up. It'd be too easy to nip over the edge into the inner-Earth paradise that used to be accessible only through the holes at the North, South and East poles.
