Still off line

My computer came back from the the doctor with a clean bill of health and a bill of only £5! How this shop keeps running is beyond me but I hope it continues.

So back home and hooked up and still no connection, I had had my telephone line checked during this week too as I lost connection some years ago because of a fault on the line and that was clear.

Tiscali, being contacted again are sending me another modem but the tone of voice in which this was said leads me to believe that they don't think it is anything to do with the modem.

I'm off line until it turns up at least so apologies for not answering any comments quickly.

As you may have gatheredc I'm back on line. Tiscali was very quick in getting the modem to me, only three days!

There's a lot to learn but the people are lovely and I know I'll enjoy it, esp when I get to know the systems and everyone I have to deal with. I wish they wouldn't keep offering me home-made fruitcake though. :-) I'm so weak...

I know the feeling, two of my colleagues married each other last Saturday and they sent a layer of their wedding cake in for those of us who couldn't get to the evening party and then another brought in a beautiful iced birthday cake made by her mother in law. It was too much for just herself and her husband and she didn't want it wasted. God I feel fat!
