Twenty Questions about My Cooking Habits... borrowed from mistraltoes, and sallym.
1. How many meals does most of your family eat at home each week? How many are in your family?<
Well there’s only me so 99.9%, I eat Sunday lunch with my cousins

2. How many cookbooks do you own?
About 10

3. How often do you refer to a cookbook each week?
Statistically never , I look at one 2 or three time a year, mostly for cakes.

4. Do you collect recipes from other sources? If so, what are some of your favorite sources (relatives, friends, magazines, advertisements, packages, the internet, etc.)
Off the net mostly the BBC , Ready Steady Cook ranks high on the list of programs I get recipes from and never use.

5. How do you store those recipes?
On my hard drive.

6. When you cook, do you follow the recipe pretty closely, or do you use recipes primarily to give you ideas?
Depends on if it’s the first time I’m cooking that particular meal. After 40+ years cooking for myself I’ve got what I like down pat and just vary the ingredients to suit what I have in the house.

7. Is there a particular ethnic style or flavor that predominates in your cooking? If so, what is it?
Welsh and Chinese

8. What's your favorite kitchen task related to meal planning and preparation? (Eating the finished product does not count.)
Spoilsport . If I can’t use eating then planning.

9. What's your least favorite part?
Washing up.

10. Do you plan menus before you shop?
Only if I’m expecting guests. I was taught to look at what I’d got then create something. Week days my cooking is pretty basic but I do go mad weekends.

11. What are your three favorite kitchen tools or appliances?
The lean mean grilling machine, the microwave and the wok.

2. If you could buy one new thing for your kitchen, money was no object, and space not an issue, what would you most like to have?
A dishwasher, I wouldn’t mind it being a human being .

13. Since money and space probably are objects, what are you most likely to buy next?
A liquidizer or a juicer.

14. Do you have a separate freezer for storage?
Since I have a pantry that is twice the size of my kitchen the fridge and freezer live there. At the moment I don’t have a separate freezer for storage but that is on my list of things to buy someday.

15. Grocery shop alone or with others?
Once a fortnight with others on the opposite fortnight by myself..

16. How many meatless main dish meals do you fix in a week?
Does egg count as meatless and what about fish? I make salmon sandwiches for my lunch each day and have three eggs a week as part or wholly a main meal so 7-9

17. If you have a decorating theme in your kitchen, what is it? Favorite kitchen colors?
Colour scheme is Royal Blue and Yellow with the china matching, what you can see under the clutter

18. What's the first thing you ever learned to cook, and how old were you?
Cawl, about 8, that’s when my Grandmother and mother decided I was old enough to handle sharp implements.. I had been helping pod peas and broad beans from about 5.

19. How did you learn to cook?
Sitting in the kitchen watching, mostly Gran she was the better cook. Mam and Gran would explain what they were doing as they went along.

20. Tag two other people to play.
I don’t tag but your welcome to this

Yes like kooking at the pretty pictures. That's the only reason I have cook books.

You aren't quite the only person in the world who can't cook. My cousin Beth can make a mean cup of tea but even her sandwiches are disgraceful.
