linda_joyceHad a fascinating lunch time in work. My cousin has decided to write a history of out home valley and is using me as her private research assistant.
Today I worked on a local church site that I knew had some Roman history attached to it and found it.
Those Victorians have a lot to answer for. They totally demolish a twelth century church( quality unknown)with Roman baths attached and replace it with a ify Neo-gothic building totally destroying any of the history. I should be grateful that they at least documented what they found but I'm not.
