Behind the cut if you don't want to read
This time the zombification from my pain killers has cut in more quickly than the first time I went off sick. Probably because I have been taking tham for abaout 6 weeks and I have a build up in my body.

I have two choices at the moment:-
Not take them and end up in pain, and insomniac beacause of the pain and therefore completely evil and not fit to mix with any living thing even electronically.

Take the horse tablets and turn into a total zombie, and I do mean total. A typical example of my lack of brain happened thursday night.....
I have been knitting almost as long as I have been walking. I didn't star walking untill almost 2 years old, nothing wrong I had a grandfather in residence who adored me. All I had to do was yell Gampie and he would come running to fetch and carry. It was only when Mam and Gran put their collective foot down and made him ignore me that I got up and walked across tthe room to fetch what ever it was I wanted. Gran taught me to knit at 5 years old and I had knitted my first scarf byt christmas that year and my first jumper (for one of my dolls) the next year. I am keeping myself occupied by knitting while I am home. At the moment I am doing a plain stocking stitch mohair jumper. Stocking stitch for any non knitters is the second stitch type you learn it's like learning to run after you learn to walk and I went so wrong I had to undo three lines! That is bad!

I can't even get up the gumption to get on the computer so don't be surprised if it takes three days to answer any comments again I'm not being rude just brain dead.

It's getting better, I've been able to reduce the number of painkillers over the weekend. It does also mean I have had to curb my activities even more but I'm not missing the house work one bit.

It's better than pain. Can you tail them off gradually and see how low a dose you can take?

I didn't walk till I was two either. My parents were worried but the doctor should I was just lazy. Start as you mean to go on, that's what I say.

My lot didn't walk until they were two either, they learned to talk at ten months and ask. When my eldest wasn't walking, my mother-in-law said "Don't worry his father was just the same" and then my grandmother-in-law said "And his mother was the same as well."

Speaking as a parent it's the better way about. Friends had a child who walked before he was one, but couldn't understand that you don't walk straight off the top of a drop. At least by two they've sussed that one.

Thanks. My family have always considered me a freak for that. I did learn to read by three, but I think that made me more of a freak in a country that values the physical over the intellectual.

And that 'should' in my previous comment should have been 'said'. :-P

Perhaps early mental development slows down the physical.

I know what that is like !! My cousin James (17 this year) was running by 10 months old but didn't talk til he was nearly three. Boy was he exhausting to babysit.

BTW did you see [livejournal.com profile] reapermum's link to a Doctor Who scarf site? It even has patterns for different seasons (links down the left-hand side) if you fancy something dead simple to knit. :-)

Just visited it, I can't make up my mind which season one I like best but with all the bits of wool I have left over from my other projects I may well be inventing my own colour scheme

I've spent sunday and monday trying out numbers to see how many I can cope with out and I've cut them down by half though it does mean I can't do quite as much as I want to physically. House work is being totally ignored and I'm eating a lot of oven cooked things as I only need to stand to prepare them.

My parents were worried but the doctor should I was just lazy. Start as you mean to go on, that's what I say.

My mother always said she wasn't at all surprised at my laziness in walking, I arrived 16 days after my due date so walking was par for the course.

I hope the increased pain is worth the gain. :-(

I was early and this isn't a good thing. Low birth-weight babies have more health problems and I sure did.

I'd take the pills. Pain is... a pain! Nothing wrong with zombies, they've just had bad press.

Wishing you well.

The only thing wrong with being a zombie is remembering what it was like to have a brain. Life is so boring when you are brain dead. I'm actually beginning to enjoy day time TV. I need yo go back to work!! BTW how's the back?
