And still without a computer at home. I borrowed my cousin's on Sunday when I was visiting and got through to AOL on line help. They said it was probably due to something that had downloaded itself onto my computer and to run their virus check and their eqivalent of Ad Aware. Seeing as I couldn't get on line that wasn't much help but I did run my virus checker and ad-aware when I got home but it was no good. I think I will just cancell my mebership and join some other server when I get my new computer. Can any of my UK friends recommend the server they use? Just remember I am only computer semi- literate and use Windows.
Cut for the squuemish Abscess trouble again.
The abcess from hell is back for the third time since January and the second time in 3 weeks. It started up again for the second time the weekend before Easter went away for the duration of the antibiotics +4 days and came back. That would make that last friday. I had an appointment at the hospital yesterday so didn't bother with trying to get an appointment with my doctor. Mr. Gately has now prepared me for the possibility of an opperation though he is trying anti-biotics one last time. The problem is getting less each recurrence so I am living in hope and keeping all my fingers and toes crossed that this time it clears.

We've had Tiscali for over a year now and had no trouble with them. We had Freeserve for a while but that went down the pan when Dixons went bellyup. Otherwise, I don't know much about other providers - except Son says "Don't touch AOL with a bargepole." (Addie is www.tiscali.co.uk)

Sorry to hear you got the abscess back. I hope it clears and they don't have to operate, though it would probably be a fairly minor op.

I use ntl for my main log-in, and it works fine for me as a dial-up provider, although they can suck as a cable company.

Himself has been with demon for years and they seem okay. zen.co.uk (my webhosts) would probably be my second choice after ntl, since I know a lot of people who use them.
