It has either been too wet or too hot for me to do much in the garden. As a result the weeds have taken over. Luckily the dominant one in the flower bed is quite pretty It's Herb Robert (Geranium robertianum)

Emerging from the midst of this mass was one solitary Canes Bill the hardy native geranium
You can see how they differ from each other in the picture.

And for the first time in years my Curry plant (Helichrysum italicum)is in full flower.

And another self seeded plant is the small forest of Evening Primrose (Oenothora macrocarpa)has appeared from no where in the corner of the lawn where the blue bells bloom in spring.

Though as you can see the lawn is now a hay meadow due to it being too wet to mow for most of last month and this.

Beautiful photos! I find that weeds grow as soon as I turn my back on them. I would love to be able to do some time-lapse photography on one such weed I have. It must keep itself very busy at night!

Are the girls treating you any better on their diet now? Animals are such pickles when they get their food restricted.

Short of Saffron losing a little weight, can anything be done to help her? Is she in pain then?
