On our way into Brecon we stopped at a lay by to have coffee. Now lay by to me speaks of a crowded piece of tarmac just off a noisy busy road with lorries all round you and the smell of burning bacon from the snack van. This was out lay by

and the smells from the snack bar were very tempting. Across the road, on the right, were open fields with Brecon in the distance and to our left, beyond the hedge was an old farm house that looked to me as if it had been built encapsulaying in stone a medieval long house some time in the 18th century. I couldn't get a good view of it but here is the best one.
