Jan. 3rd, 2004 11:39 amI developed a bad inner and middle ear infection Christmas Eve. Not to bad at first so it didn't spoil Christmas but in spite of anti biotics it hasn't improved. Had to go to work between Christmas and New Year as my esteemed management (can't say what I really think of them, this *is* public) gave out so much leave (good of them really) two people off would have resulted in utter choas and someone beat me to it Monday morning. But to day I phoned in sick I am not well enough to work, let chaos comence I don't care.
Got up to phone and then went back to bed. I'm feeling better now and very hungry. I think I'll try the naked chef's midnight one pan fry up for lunch, with variations to accomidate the low cholesterol diet I'm on.
I discovered vegitarian bacon at Asda last week, tastes just like the real thing if you don't look at it. Bacon butties make the diet more bareable and now I've got my Lean Clean Grilling machine grilling everything is so much easier

Date: 2004-01-03 09:30 pm (UTC)One thing I like in sarnies is Cauldron Foods' beech smoked organic tofu. Sliced thinly, fried with a tiny bit of oil, and served on soft white bread with ketchup, it's delicious ... mmmm :-)

Date: 2004-01-03 09:47 pm (UTC)Thanks for the hint, I havent seen Cauldron Foods in our local supermarket but then I haven't been looking until very recently. And I would *kill* for soft white bread, that is banned on this diet and I'm getting totally fed up of brown bread
