Do you remember these from last year
They were still there when I got to Sue's place this year.
.
They were all sold on a few days later to breed homes as their sire and dams are prize winning Welsh Mountain ponies I have discovered this year. The mares were all pregnant again and ready to drop.

And I was hoping that some would before I left.
This one was about 12 hours old when I first saw him.

With Mum

And this little girl was only 3 hours old when I took this. Mum wouldn't let her roam far enough to get a solo shot. They were born Friday midnight and Saturday 6:00am the weekend before I came home.

The reason I know more about them this year is that I found out from Sue's next door neighbour where their owners lived as one of the Mares wasn't looking to bright. As I said to mrs X I know nothing about horses but if she was a pregnant human I would say she was suffering from over heating. As it turned out I was right and after being taken back into the cooler barn she was back out looking very chipper in the evening. And Iwas able to find out a lot about the herd talking to Mrs X over the fence.
Here are some thumbnails of the older one thaken when he was 1.5 days old.
