Each time we have had a heat wave this year I have brought it to an end by going out and buying something I needed Sun cream the first time, t-shirts the second. Well I've just come back from Tescos with bananas, bread, mixed melon pieces and a litre of Coke Zero, all very necessary. But I also walked out of there with a wide brimmed straw hat so that I could take my sewing or crochet into the garden. I am very sorry to inform all those on my friends list the the weather is about to change, in the next 48 hours we are likely to be back to winter again and apologise profusely in advance.

It's just passed it on mine, Which reminds me I must go up and open the bedroom windows to see if I can get the temperature down to almost bearable by midnight.

I am planning a day out with my sketchbook , that will put the mockers on things for good, but I don't know when. It will depend on the times of various films and when I chose to go. I want to see teh New Indianna Jone, the new Narnia and Mama mia so that is 3 afternoons that will probably be scorchers. I will try and make the sketching day Tuesday.

If I ever win the lottery I'll be there, on my way to Australia to end their drought, I've done that with 2 holidays already, Cyprus back in the 70s and Malta in the 80s.

I also vote for the 'hope your jinx works'. Warm is good. hot is not good, and even less good for my low blood pressure and ms.

When it gets to about, say, midnight, it might be temperature enough for me.

I could do with a wetting!
It is baking hot and any showers or rain would be welcome.
Besides it must be due to break soon if its anything like last year. August was a very wet month.

It looks like we will be gettig a little more than a shower here this afternoon, the sun has gone and in it's place are dark grey clouds that look as if they could be thunder heads. No happy medium with the weather these days. I was righ, we have just had a rumble of thunder.

No I love what I think of as a typical summer day which is early 60s, with a fresh breeze. This hot humid stuff is hell, I bought that hat deliberately.

Linda, your HOT weather has just arrived here, thank you so much - and I am afraid there will be only extremes with the weather. So enjoy the noce one as far as you have got it!
