For the first time this month we have had a day without rain. It was overcast and grey most of today right up until about 5:00pm when the clouds went away and a brilliant sunny blue sky. I had been out at Cousin A's for lunch and coming back I parked on Beth's road as I had to go in and reset her video for this weeks episodes of various things she or Jill watch but I can't leave it there the road is too narrow and Beth's parking space was already in use. Now getting on to the Cronkety Road when coming down hill is difficult so I normally go on down to the main road, go once round the round about and back up hill. Today I took the time to pick up my camera as the same roundabout can get me down by the river and I wanted some pictures of water so I can learn to paint it. While I was there I too a photo looking back at my village and thought you poor dears who live in arid conditions would like to see what the countryside can look like after at least 13 days of rain.

The House on the right hand side is the bungalow that lies at a right angle to the hill, those on the left are first the Baptist Chapel and then the second oldest house in the village Steep Fields Cottage. The Hill is hidden behind the trees.

It has been a glorious day. I suppose we appreciate it more when it doesn't happen so often. Who's that I can see in the front of the photo??

I'm getting worried. There is somewhere in the New Testament, I thought Revalations but I can't find it, a verse that say that one of the signs of the coming of the end of the world was chaotic weather. It something along the lines of And season shall not be known from season, with the weather we are having lately amongst my friends from all over th world we could be in the end of days. %)

Well, this very idea has been worrying me for a long time - not exactly only because of The Testament or other ancient resources, but because the ruined balance of the balance of natural Powers. Plus the above mentioned - it would be stupid to ignore ancient wisdom. Alas, we do exactly that...

I wouldn't have to rent just take my life into my hands and persuade one of the escapees from the mountain flocks that roam the roads.
