This will come in two parts.

First the meadow as a whole, or two halves to be exact.

Now some of the flowers that make up the meadow
White and red clover

Shoes and stockings, a local name I have no idea what they are actually called.

And meadow buttercup, which dominates the first half of the meadow and gives it the overall yellow colour. Lesser Stitchwort(I think) and thistle.

Like here, very familiar plants! Oh, hay fever - these days it is mostly the grass in bloom which spread the mos aggresive pollen, and surprisingly nettles. Coniferous follow. For me, lime trees are the worst, this too sickly fragrance somehow "sticks" in my nose and I keep sneezing. Unfortunately we have got two wonderful giant trees just next to our house. They are always fully in bloom. :-)Etchooo!!!!

My major allergy is London Plane trees. They are city trees thankfully so I don't have to much trouble now I don't live in a town. It is tree pollen of all types that that affects me, and most of them are over til next year.

Haven't really seen a meadow since I was a child in rural California. This is beautiful.

There aren't really that many here abouts, plenty of fields but those are usually sheep grazed. A meadow has to be managed round here because it soon becomes a wood if it isn't.

Well. I've lived in southern California for the last four decades, so the only open areas are mostly covered by scrup brush that turns into turmble weeds during the summer. Of course there isnt too many of those areas either--back-to-back houses and millions (literally) of people.

I love your pictures of nature.

Your yellow flower could be bird's foot trefoil

Yep that's the one, the two colours on one flower is why we called it shoes and stockings.
