Green fingers or black thumb
May. 23rd, 2004 11:52 amI've spent the second Sunday running gardening. Somebody stop me.
I've got a long garden mostly down to grass with what I call my conservation area ( read totally neglected) beyond the old coal house. I got a jobbing gardener in to kill one area of grass to put in an herbaceous border. Once it was dead I phoned him to come and dig it for me but he was on holiday. I'm away animal and house sitting next week so I had to do some digging myself as I had already bought the plants.
I managed to dig out a quarter over two sundays and have now planted the plants. They just fill the area I had dug.
By the time My gardener and I can get together the rest of the garden will be annuals and my perennials will be ready for splitting next year.
