t took them about 30 minutes to clear it though and of course it is raining heavily again, those men do a nasty job with pleasantness and vigor. They hosed down the whole yard and my door and window nearest the mess just in case they has splashed anything on them while working. Finlay was barking to bring the house down, he doesn't like people being in his garden without his supervision. So Mike brought him out on a lead and he stood there with one of his toys at his feet wagging his tail and giving his little 'play with me' noises at the workmen. You can rely on Finlay to let you know when some one is out there, then pester them to death to play when he gets at them%).

I'm glad they're cleared it up. I hope it's a long time till it happens again.

Unfortunately from past experience I know it will happen again in a few weeks to a month. It's regular every winter.

They do come and fix it every time it happens, I don't think they keep the sort of records that flag the repeat calls up. I must keep my calendars and put the date down every time I have to call them.

Finlay is next door's dog but since there is no fence between our gardens and I love animals he considers me one of his pack and my garden his. He's a collie, his picture is below. Very intelligent in many ways but daft as a brush in others. He loves all people with a passion that is hard to to beat.

Your classic guard dog - Next door's dog is just like that, barks like mad and then you are in danger of being licked to death.

Glad they sorted it. I'd log the repeats and keep badgering them for a more permanent solution.

I plan to do that this time. And with Finlay they would die of exhaustion from tickling or throwing balls, he's been trained not to lick but that boy is persistent when he wants something.
