The sketch is one of the first I did, very naive, but I've used it to practise with my water colour pencils.

is that a fern? 3 little fowl all in a row (I want to say Geese, but I'm no ornithologist!) - very cute!

It's a Christmas/Easter cactus, I've never seen it in bloom so I can't be certain which. In the green they are identical. On the real pot they are very recognisable the big white ducks which I think are called Aylesburys but i admit that it is difficult to tell them from geese.

The colours are lovely, and I like the shapes you've captured here.

Thank you. The pot is actually those colours but very highly glossed something I haven't figured out hoe to do yet.

Very nice! What a lovely blue the pot is, deep and rich.

Thank you. in spite of my problem with the blue/green section of the spectrum I think I've got it pretty accurately, I just haven't got the high gloss on it/ I'll have to study your tea set and try to figure out how you did it.

I draw mine under the light over the computer deck and put bits of white (for shiny objects) or patches of lighter colour (for matte or fuzzy things) where the highlights are.
