I missed the bus I was aiming for yesterday and had a 15 minute wait for my next bus so I started drawing what was infront of me. I got the bones and put some of the flesh on later but my memory being what it is and my patience I didn't fully flesh it out.

The tree is full foliage and is a wild sycamore but after putting the leaves on the ivy growing up it I had had enough of leaf drawing and left it as a winter tree.It is growing on a narrow strip of wild left between the old valley road and the new bypass.

Great - a bit of nature clinging on desperately to it's existence :D

Nice contrast between the flowing shape of the tree and the more rigid lines of the structures that surround it. Yay for you missing the bus ;D

Thaak you, nature is tough in my part of the world (the South Wales Vallies). It hung on like grim death through 200years of industrial pollution, it will syill be there after we've wiped our selves out.

It was the contrast between nature and man that called to me to draw it, I'm glad I got that over.

Nature compared to man, it was that that drew me to it in the first place, I'm glad I've got that across.

Very nice: the natural lines of the tree contrasting with the straight ones of the fence, and the crumbling stone wall being a mixture of straight and natural.

I love the shapes of trees.

Thank you, it was the combination of nature and man made with nature drawing a little ahead of the race was what attracted me in the first place.
