i was sat at the computer reading my mail when i noticed Cosmo, one of next doors gingers, sitting on the dust bin just out side the window having a damn good wash. I grabbed paper and pencil and tried to sketch the shapes she got into. For most of them she didn't stay that way long enough but here are a few that I got.

I tried to colour them to make them easier to see and this is what happened:-

I like the effect and they are certainly easier to see.

Those are good! Animals are hard to draw, esp moving ones. You know what? You can too draw. You're getting better all the time.

Thank you, I think I'm better if I don't try too hard and I know I'm my own worst critic.

That's it exactly--don't try to make it perfect, just go with what you see and let your hand disengage from your brain. These are really impressive. :)

That "looking over his shoulder" in the middle really works well.

Yes that one is the one I'm most please with too, and the one to her right as you look at the screen

I like the top left, for capturing the ungainliness of the wash.

Yes washing does get them is some undrawable positions. There was one I couldn't capture when I'm sure she had all 4 feet in the air

Good thinking to colourise it like that to make it more visible.

You've captured those shapes cats make very well.

Thanks, I never thought I would do it but I just shut off my higher brain and let the fingers do the talking.
