Shopping mayhem
Mar. 20th, 2004 01:29 pmI hate International days, for those of you not into Rugby I mean the Saturdays when at least two of the six nations (Wales Scotland England Ireland France and Italy) are playing on a Saturday afternoon.
With Italy v Ireland this afternoon and Wales v England after that plus it being Mothering Sunday tomorrow the world and his wife were were in Asda this morning and my bi weekly mammoth shop turned into the morning from hell.
The worst part is the Mothering Sunday crowd. The husbands are giving their wives a day off treat today by doing the shopping for them and picking up her present at the same time. Since most of them only set foot in Asda one day a year they have no idea where things are and don't know the un-written rule of keeping left in the isles like we do on the roads, and steering a trolley is as foreign to them as giving birth, they've seen it done but have no idea of what it really entails.
I say it every year but next year I'm going shopping mid week at least the OAPs that do their shopping then know what they are doing.

Hope you enjoyed your weekend of luxury and culture.
