Real life rocks

My freind Sue and her 7 dogs(4 large crossbreed a 3 Shelties, photos will come later)arrived Saturday. Sunday I stayed home with the two eldest, cross breeds aged 15 and 16, and my two. The old boys came for a very short walk in the morning and then pottered in and out of the garden for the rest of the day while I took the girls on a nice long walk. One of Sue's Seven is Katie, my Kandi's daughter, and as I think I've told you Saffron and Kandi are half sisters so I will leave you with a few pictures of the Sheltie family.

They really do seem to know they are family, when they get together, Dylis and Daily, might as well not be there, even though Dils Dales and Katie play together at home.

I love that first picture. Who is the one with her mouth open, looking like she is telling everyone what's what? :)

That bottom shot is precious of the one with her face to the camera. It would make such a good userpic. :)

The talkative one in the first picture is baby Katie(10 months old now)and she is very vocal when she is playing with her mother Kandi and Aunt Saffron. And the one looking straight at camera is Katie, It was the first time she noticed the big black thing hiding my face and she wanted to know what it was.

Elliot is quite exceptional then?

Yes he is but isn't the oldest. that's Bas who is 16 and shown here in his traveling cage

and this is a closer picture of Elliot.


That is Katie above them, she has to have her cage closed when she is in there as she hasn't yet learned that Stay means you don't move from the spot until the human says so. Bas and Els(the abreviation Sue uses for Elliot) are so well trained that occasionally they will wait for Sue to reverse the order even thought they both know I have that power even if I haven't given the order. But that might just be a little senility creeping in.

Such beauties! Seven? She has seven. Wow. I assume she lives on a farm or some other arrangement lots of space.
I'm a very urban critter myself, but also jealous.

Not a farm just a small bungalow on a very large plot that is all fenced in with two large out buildings that the dogs can be put in if Sue wants to be out for the day, they are large and airy and divided into runs for them. The bungalow was built back in the 50s when land was cheap
