I've been quiet lately.

I've been quiet lately because real life has been chaos between here, me going away to visit and problems with cousin A and Auntie N I haven't had a moment to myself it seems. My travels are finished and we have got Auntie N into a nice care home and A calmed down and recovering slowly from a month of almost no sleep as her mother kept trying to get out of bed during the night. at 70 A is in need of of a bit of care her self, her Mam has just got too much to deal with. Any way I had a nice morning with no commitments other than walking my girls so we went off to Cwmcarn lake with my camera and I to be 'arty' with my snap shots.
First the obligatory shot of the girls.


The Carn valley is very narrow and although we were there at nearly 11 O'clock the sun still hadn't risen there as this one shows

so we have ducks at twilight

and these are all of the stream that feeds the lake.

This tree was further up the mountain and in a little more light. I just love the way its branches have grown

Autumn is over here and winter is just round the corner but there are still two signs of autumn's mellow fruitfulness, two ceab apple trstill haning on to their fruit.


And finally even ducks have their daredevils, talk about living on the edge.%)

I wondered how you were. Thanks for posting all these lovely photos. The daredevil duck made me laugh. :D The girls' coats are just gorgeous. The lighter coloured one looks like a wee Puff Ball!! I hope you are feeling well. :)

That is Saffron and she really is a little puffball, she has masses of under coat. Kandi has much less and is a lot easier to groom.
