Importing: go to the Home page and click on Organize -> Import content. Don't choose to import Friends as that will just bring across a lot of OpenIDs. You can import comments as well as entries; they'll have OpenIDs without icons on them--see one of my older posts here.

Cross-posting: Just go to the posting page and you'll see a "Manage accounts" link near the bottom. Add your LJ using that, then you can say that by default you'll post to it each time you post here. That means you post here first.

Don't run an import after you've cross-posted as they have a bug which will bring the cross-posted entries across again. They're going to fix that though.
