I haven't don e a lot in the 6 months I have posted sporadically and you know the high points(or in the case of the fireworks, low (See my December 4th entry) other wise my life has been a round of chaufeur duty, walking the dogs and house work. Except for my adult education classes, I have continued with my art class under our new tutor Lindsey. She was horrified when she took over from Stewart that we hadn't been given lessons in the basics such as shading, colour mixing and tones and shades and numerous other things that I now know how to do but can' remember what they are called, so last term produced very few pictures but a much more confident artist. In December, Beth, myself and two others from our art group went to the NEC in Birmingham for a craft show. Sue had already booked me for a week to help her put up the other half of the garden fence that we had started in the spring soI drove over from her place to Birmingham and Beth drove the other two up from Newport. I had to drive half the distance they had to travel but left at roughly the same time because they had motorway all the way and the best I had was A roads . Any way we we did meet up and went into the tutorial we had booked. It cost us £50 but we walked away with about £60 worth of materials in the form of an A3 size water colour book of paper, good quality, paint brushes, also good and 8 pots of the acrylic inks they were demonstrating. I now have 16 pots of them as Beth enjoyed the tutorial but her heart belongs to water colour so she gave hers to me. In the afternoon we broke ranks and wandered off on our own to explore the stands. The others concentrated on the arts side but I left there with art materials, beads and findings and a couple of knitting kits and no money. I also subscribed to a knitting magazine that I buy every month nay way and got a craft trolly, like this but in pink cut for large photos )

Actually by jewelry creations, I did nothing last term to warrant showing you and what we did this term is sorted into a folder and ready to go and be marked. Yes Adult Education in this neck of the woods involves exams, usually in the form of a portfolio, which are independently marked. But that does mean we get them free of charge.
