Burley, the Sculpture Garden.

The Sculpture Garden is set in  the lower Garden of the house originally landscaped by Capability Brown.  Looking at the sculptures I did wonder if he were revolving in his grave or cheering what has been done.  Since he was such an innovative gardener I came down on the side of cheering.  His design for the garden hasn't been changed the sculptures have been placed to fit in with them.  There are a lot of them so this will be divided into many parts, at least 3 may be more.

This was the first sculpture we saw, I can't tell you what it's called or who made it as it was one of many which had no plaque.


Those knees belong to Sue, she was energetically urging me inside.  I went and looked up where she told me and saw .....

From now on I can't remember the order in which we saw the rest of this post but later they will be in the order we saw them.
