The silence is killing me
Today Saffron has gone in to the vets to be spayed, and the lack of her noise in the house is dreadful. She is a very quiet girl most of the time all I 'hear' is her breathing and that is so quiet it is subliminal. The postman knocked today and there was no barking, it was weird. She has only been with me since last October I can't imagine how I will feel, years from now, when she dies.
I delivered the little madam to the vets this morning and parked in a small public car park 30 seconds from the vet's office, I had to wait about 15 minutes before we went in to see her surgeon and 5 minutes more for the formalities and form signing and I went back to my car to find some idiot had dented my driver's side front bumper and driven away with out leaving any details. This operation is going to be expensive £140 or the op and and an estimate of £160 for the repairs. Luckily the body shop I went to for the estimate can't take the car until May so at least the money will be coming out of two different 'pay days'.
I'll post again when she is back home safely home, I have to call about 3:00 pm to find out when I can pick her up. If all has gone well she will be back today by 7:00 pm at the latest.
